Biography

head shot 3-1 larger.jpg

Mariann Scolinos has been a ceramic artist for over 30 years.  In the 1980s, she

added watercolors to her repertoire but eventually found the use of only a brush

limiting. The desire to once again use her hands to directly shape her pieces led,

in 2001, to her current work. Mariann Scolinos is a second-generation Southern

California native who grew up in San Gabriel.  She received her Bachelors of Arts

degree from California State University at Los Angeles and did post-graduate

work at U.C.L.A.
